How the league works

• This is a co-ed, team-based doubles league for players ages 21-40.
• Each week, your team faces another team in round-robin matchups.
• A team matchup includes three doubles matches, with each person playing for 1 hour.
• USTA will provide the balls so all you need to bring is your racquet.
• The focus is fun, fitness, and friendly competition!

When & where

• 7 consecutive Tuesdays, from 6PM–9PM
• Tennis Courts at Foss Park (49 Fellsway W, Somerville, MA) (link)

Registration

• Price: $80.00
• Players sign up individually and are placed on teams with assigned captains.
• You can add preferred teammates during sign-up.
• If registration is full, we open a waitlist. If a spot opens up, spots are claimed first-come, first served.
• Can’t commit to at least 4 weeks? Join the sub list!

Level

• Intermediate (3.5-4.0 NTRP)
• For high-level players that want to be social but also want solid, more competitive matches. Ideal for former high school varsity or college club players.
• Scores do not impact any official ratings.

Season setup

• Week 1: Kick-off session - Players meet and play fun group games. This helps us to assess levels and to create balanced teams.
• Weeks 2–6: Team matches - Three 1-hour doubles matches: 6–7 PM, 7–8 PM, and 8–9 PM.
• Week 7: Playoffs - Final matches determine the winning team for the season.
